Q: Why can't you hear the radio station as well at night?
A: The amount of power that radio stations broadcast with at different times of the day and night is regulated by the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC), in relation to other radio stations. This often involves treaties between the United States
and other countries like Canada and Mexico. Sky wave interference effects standard broadcast signals at night. If we kept the
power turned up, we would be breaking the rules and interfere with other radio stations.
Our 12000 watt upgrade only affects our daytime signal (sunrise to sunset), for now, our night-time signal will remain 270 watts.
We are exploring options for also getting a night-time signal to the Fargo area and beyond. Please pray that God will guide our
search!
Q: What are your Station Needs 2008:
A: Remote Broadcast Equipment: Cost: $8000 needed by June 2008
Will give us the ability to broadcast events live from your parishes and communities: Masses, Special occasions, Catholic
Community events, Eucharistic Congresses, the possibilities are endless;
Billboard Sponsorships: Cost: $550/month or $6600/year needed as soon as possible
Let others know where they can hear the Good News about their Catholic faith. We need advertisement in the communities we
now reach: Grand Forks, Fargo, Winnipeg, Devils Lake, Jamestown, Detroit Lakes, Moorhead, Whapeton/Hankinson, Crookston,
Valley City and everywhere in between;
